    MAH JONG (AMERICAN STYLE)

A game of Chinese origins, Mah Jong is a tile game played similar to the western card game of Rummy. Players collect tiles to make runs of three (4, 5, 6) or sets of three (8, 8, 8). The main difference between American and Chinese sets is that American sets have jokers as wild cards. And American Mah Jong often requires the use of annual cards which indicate combinations you are required to match for points. You can play Asian style Mah Jong with an American set by removing the extra pieces. 4 players are required.
