    Top

These are made from 6mm steel, a heavy duty metal that doesn't bend, so it will take wits and dexterity to solve them and not brute force! Tavern Puzzles also look great displayed on a wall.

The puzzles below are produced by an American blacksmith who began his production of metal puzzles by reproducing hand-forged artifacts that he came across while researching architectural hardware. He has used his knowledge of iron-working and tool making to produce both traditional and original designs. Museum trained and with a specialty in 18th and 19th century architectural hardware, Dennis Sucilsky established Tucker-Jones House as a family business in 1975.

. Bike (Hanyama Level 1 Easy) - Object: remove the ring from the bike frame. Keyword paths.
Created and patented in the 19th century, this puzzle garnered a lot of attention in America back in 1898. Using gates similar to other puzzles, this one has the same kind of labyrinth-like flow. Since the manufacturer wasn't able to reference the original puzzle, the remake of this one took a considerable of time. They are confident that it is an accurate replica that's just as enjoyable as the original.

. Keys (Hanyama Level 2 Tricky) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword enlarge.
Two keys appear to be permanently linked and, no matter how you look at it, there is seemingly no solution to unlocking them. However, as a highly popular puzzle since its creation during the 19th century puzzle craze, the keys are in fact separable.

. Cuby (Hanyama Level 3 Challenging) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword space.
Designed a Dutchman, this cube is a maze through which a loop is interwoven. The position of the piece trapped inside can be changed by it being moved in a unique way. The dilemma is how to remove that piece. When first invented, the start point where the piece could be removed was not fixed. However over time, the furthermost position was made to resemble a face and a clear removal start point was thereby designated.

. O'Gear (Hanyama Level 3 Challenging) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword teeth.
The prizewinner from the 2001 1st Annual World Puzzle Design competition, this puzzle was designed by a young Dutchman considered to be one of the world's brightest creators. The gear exhibits a unique kind of movement. Once together in its final form of beauty, the gear fixed in place in the cubic box could serve as a desk decoration to satisfy a kind of soothing, intellectual curiosity.

. Baroq (Hanyama Level 4 Demanding) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword music.

Following the dynamic build up is an inspirational finale when the two pieces elegantly release from each other. You may even want to choose a somewhat luxurious and relaxing ambience when attempting this puzzle.

. Chain (Hanyama Level 6 Mind Boggling) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword chain. It can be solved three different ways.
There's a whole world of wisdom wrapped up in this Dutch masterpiece. The three pieces can be separated and then joined again in their original form. What's special about this puzzle is that it can be solved three different ways, depending on which of the three pieces is chosen as the middle piece. Solving this puzzle requires an especially subtle kind of working of the pieces, the kind that often leaves the victim struggling in frustration. Keeping in mind its chainlike behaviour and using your feeling to your advantage is the best way to attack this.

. Enigma (Hanyama Level 6) - Object: disassemble and reassemble the puzzle. Keyword trust.
Patented in America in 1975, the somewhat swirled pieces of this puzzle must be disjoined and then put back together. Simialr to a puzzle from 20 years, the manufacturers have made a new version maintaining the difficulty of the original and licensed it for this series. This is without a doubt among the most difficult of all puzzles. Don't use too much force...the pieces should just slide apart.
