    TAVERN or PIONEER PUZZLES

    These are made of a heavy duty metal that doesn't bend, so it will take wits to solve them! From Tucker-Jones House.
    Tucker-Jones House was established in 1975 as a family business. Dennis Sucilsky, one of the the owners, is a museum trained, traditional blacksmith with a specialty is 18th and 19th century architectural hardware. In 1980, Dennis began production of metal puzzles from reproductions of hand-forged artifacts that he came across while researching architectural hardware. As a blacksmith, he was able to use his knowledge of iron-working and tool making for the production of both traditional and original designs, thus beginning the Tavern PuzzleŽ Collection.

    Tangoes - Sometimes called silhouette puzzles, the goal is to take 7 varied shapes and make an image, such as a fisherman, dog, bunny, tea pot, etc. Tangrams/Tangoes are actually ancient puzzles of China. These modern versions use 7 pieces of plastic to create patterns indicated on image cards. Available only in BLUE.

    Jigsaw Glue - A bottle of glue by Educa made for jigsaw puzzles. Glue is applied to the top of the picture, allowed to dry, then more layers are added as desired. We have glued several puzzles using this glue and generally let it dry overnight or for the day between layers. Good for 250cc or 2m squared.

    We carry FELT PUZZLE MATS in the store. Assemble your puzzle on the felt mat and roll it up when you need to stop. The piece of felt with your unfinished puzzle wraps around the carrying tube and is held in place with velcro straps. Mat sizes are 36 x 30 inches for puzzles up to 1000 pieces and another mat at 48 x 40 inches. They are difficult to ship, thus we don't sell them over the web. $16 and $20.
